SOCIAL EVENTS
Almost any holiday is a good enough excuse to hold a social event, but we always hold them in January for the Polar Bear Swim on the 1st, in May for Memorial Day (see photos below), 4th of July and Labor Day.		Volunteers are always needed to staff our social events, which are held at both swimming pool locations, other than for the Polar Bear Swim (which is only held at Silver Creek pool). Call the Lodge at 210-681-2983 to sign up for any event.
Photos from a past Memorial Day Social Free food is always available. Hot dogs and chips are the tradition for all picnics, right? The free food always draws a crowd. The residents set up in the shade where ever they can find room, but bring your own chairs and blankets since this event always runs out of chairs fast!		The pool is open, come on in! Security Chief Roger Burton cooks the hot dogs. The GNW Sounds perform.
