Over 100 Great Northwest Residents and Guests took the Polar Bear Plunge into the not so frigid waters of the pool in our Silver Creek Complex. Outside air temperature was about 72 degrees and the water temperature was 56 degrees. One of the lifeguards participated in the swim when one of the younger swimmers ran into problems about 20 feet into the deep end of the pool. Lana jumped in from her chair and rescued the young boy before most of the spectators had even spotted that there was a problem. Atta Girl Lana! Glad we have you as one of our experienced life guards each year.
