Congratulations New Directors
Eric Cooper & Brianna Brooks

The board appointed Eric Cooper and Brianna Brooks to the two vacancies on the board left by the failure to obtain a quorum and hold a successful election at the annual meeting of the members. Three other residents applied and were considered. Before making the appointments, Chairman Garcia invited all of the candidates to run for election next year if not selected for these two vacancies. Their terms run thru May 2012.

Pay Assessments

Pay by E-Check
Pay by Credit Card

FOR 2009, the Great Northwest has contracted with Community Association Banc (aka Mutual of Omaha Bank) to process our assessment payments, including payment plan arrangements for 2009. Click on one of the above links for e-check or credit/debit card payments. You will need to know your account info that was included on the assessment notice mailed to each property owner.

Note: There is an extra fee for using a credit card (up to $10), so we recommend using e-check for free, where an electronic check will be deducted from your checking account just like you had mailed one to CABANC. Refer to the article on page 3 of the January 2009 Passages here for more details, or contact our office at 210-681-2983.

Yes, you can still pay in person (by check or money order only) at the Lodge, or drop your payment with your payment info slip in the lockbox outside the lodge's front door. Payments dropped in the lock box after the start of business on February 2nd will be considered to be "late" must include the $30 late fee.

When each property owner pays their assessment in January, or subsequent to then, you become eligible to update your GNW Photo ID Cards with the 2009 sticker. If you already have a card, and have already paid your 2009 assessments, bring it in to the office during normal or special office hours to get it updated ASAP in order to be able to continue to enjoy our facilities.

GNW Photo ID cards are provided free of charge to members and their family members living in the GNW.

Replacement cards cost $5 for lost cards. Cards may be obtained during normal business hours at the lodge. Must be present in person to have photo taken before card will be issued by the office staff. Old cards (more than 5 years), or cards with faded photos, will be replaced for free so that you can update your photo.

RENTERS CAN GET ID CARDS ALSO

Renters can download this form from our website, or from our office, to have their landlord give them permission to get photo ID cards so they can use our facilities. There is no charge for this service, but the landlord (or property manager) has to authorize it. The link is to a PDF file that can be completed on-line and then printed for your landlord's signature.

NOT SURE IF YOU ARE RESIDING
INSIDE GNW BOUNDARIES?

Download our area maps from this page to look up your street. If you know that you are inside Silver Creek, Timberwilde, Ridge Creek, Stage Coach Crossing, The Commons, Village of the Northwest, or Emerald Valley subdivisions, you are inside our area.

If you reside off Meadow Trace, in Northwest Crossing, live in a duplex or apartment, the development near the GNW Library & Timberwilde Elementary (not the fenced in area called Timberwilde) then you are NOT inside our boundaries. If your landlord doesn't pay annual assessments to the GNW, you are NOT inside our boundaries and are NOT eligible to get an ID Card.

311Getting Answers in San Antonio

Got a Complaint about something in the City of San Antonio? Well, they've made it easier for you to report problems. Here are three ways to report problems or find out "stuff" in the City of San Antonio.

Method 1: Use your phone to call 311 and tell them about it. If nobody tells the city about it, then how to you expect them to "fix" it? Visit the 311 web page for more information.

SA Citizen RequestsMethod 2: Visit the City's web site and fill out an on-line report. Very similar to the GNW on-line forms we use on this web site, and very easy to use.

Method 3: Call your City Council Person's field office. The GNW is mostly inside the boundaries of District 6, where Ray Lopez is the councilwoman at 210-679-6506, but we also have a few hundred homes over in District 7, where Justin Rodriguez is the councilman at 210-733-2723. If you live in Silver Creek, North of Timber Trace (toward Leon Valley direction), you are probably in District 7.
