ONLINE PAYMENT
ACCEPTED HERE
FOR 2010, the Great Northwest has contracted with Community Association Banc (aka Mutual of Omaha Bank) to process our assessment payments, including payment plan arrangements for 2010. Click on one of the above links for e-check or credit/debit card payments. You will need to know your account info that was included on the assessment notice mailed to each property owner.
Note: There is an extra fee for using a credit card (up to $10), so we recommend using e-check for free, where an electronic check will be deducted from your checking account just like you had mailed one to CABANC. For more details, or contact the lodge at 210.681.2983.
Yes, you can still pay in person (by check or money order only) at the Lodge, or drop your payment with your payment info slip in the lockbox outside the lodge's front door. Payments dropped in the lock box after the start of business on February 2nd will be considered to be "late" must include the $30 late fee.
When each property owner pays their assessment in January, or subsequent to then, you become eligible to update your GNW Photo ID Cards with the 2010 sticker. If you already have a card, and have already paid your 2010 assessments, bring it in to the office during normal or special office hours to get it updated ASAP in order to be able to continue to enjoy our facilities.
GNW Photo ID cards are provided free of charge to members and their family members living in the GNW.
Replacement cards cost $5 for lost cards. Cards may be obtained during normal business hours at the lodge. Must be present in person to have photo taken before card will be issued by the office staff. Old cards (more than 5 years), or cards with faded photos, will be replaced for free so that you can update your photo.

Pay It Forward
By: Director Briana Brooks
“Pay it forward” is a phrase that came into our consciousness from the movie of the same name. “Pay it forward” is to do a random act of kindness or service.
I chose mine to be as a board member for the GNW. I wanted to be of service and to help create positive solutions to the issues residents were voicing. I have to say I am thrilled that I am getting to serve and I think you would be too.
As a working board member I can tell you that the work is not simple or easy, but it is without question, worth doing. To work for your neighbors and your community to make where you live better is an honor.
Maybe it’s time you thought about “paying it forward.” Think about putting your hat into the ring for a place on the board. There will be two positions open in the May elections.
“Nomination for election to the Board shall be made in writing, signed by five (5) members in good standing on the form approved by the board for nominations. Nominations shall include the written undertaking of the nominee to serve if elected. The deadline for submitting your nomination form is February 18, 2010. You may pick up your nomination form and the election packet at the office. The packet will have all the information and timelines.
The qualifications to be nominated and run for election to the Board; an individual must be (1) the owner of property in the Great Northwest; (2) resident in the Great Northwest; (3) current in payment of financial obligations to the Association; and (4) not otherwise disqualified from voting at the Annual Meeting of Members of the Association.”
The May elections need your participation. In 2008 and 2009 we didn’t have a quorum, so we couldn’t hold the Annual Meeting of the Members (homeowners). That lack of a quorum is caused by only one thing, homeowners not voting.
The vote of each homeowner is incredibly important. Whether you are living in the GNW or not, if you own a home here, please vote.
Your vote decides how your property is going to be protected, how your neighborhood is going to flourish and the direction of the entire GNW.
It only takes 10% of the homeowners to make a quorum.
Even if you don’t decide to be a candidate, “pay it forward” by voting. Look for your ballot in the mail and make your decision to be a positive force in your neighborhood and your community by casting your vote.
