Architectural Control Committee Meetings

Our Architectural Control Committee (ACC) meets twice a month to review and discuss home improvements and modifications. The goal of ACC is to preserve the value, desirability, attractiveness, and architectural integrity of the Great Northwest.

The ACC is headed by Chairman James Prock and Vice Chairman Daniel Windler.

Meetings are held every other Monday at 4:30 PM in the Olivia Theriot Boardroom at the Silver Creek Lodge (8809 Timberwilde).

Interested in joining Architectural Control Committee?

We invite you to make a direct, positive impact on the Great Northwest by volunteering to serve on the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).

We are currently seeking fair-minded, engaged homeowners to help guide the exterior design and improvement standards that protect the appearance, value, and character of our neighborhood.

The ACC plays a vital role in reviewing and approving exterior construction, additions, and alterations in our community. As outlined in the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) and the Exterior Design Criteria, the ACC ensures that each project aligns with our community standards, protecting both the aesthetic harmony and property values that make our neighborhoods desirable places to live.

Why join the ACC?

  • Help preserve the architectural integrity and character of all Great Northwest subdivisions (Emerald Valley, Ridge Creek, Silver Creek, Village Northwest, The Commons, Timberwilde, and Stage Coach Crossing).

  • Ensure construction and improvements enhance the community and comply with governing documents.

  • Collaborate with neighbors and HOA leadership to support fair and thoughtful decisions.

  • Gain insights into design standards covering fences, exterior paint colors, roofing, sheds, landscaping, and more.

  • Contribute to maintaining harmony in nature, kind, shape, height, materials, color, and location of improvements, as detailed in our governing documents.

Who can serve?

  • Homeowners in good standing within the Great Northwest

  • Residents who care about our community’s appearance and future

  • No professional design or construction experience required. Just dedication and willingness to learn

What does serving on the ACC involve?

  • Attending regular meetings Monday (held twice monthly) at 4:30 PM

  • Reviewing homeowner applications for exterior changes

  • Helping neighbors navigate the approval process

  • Upholding design criteria and community standards fairly and consistently

By volunteering your time, you will help protect what makes our community special. Your voice and perspective will help guide decisions that affect us all.
